Covidvaccine
Oconee County's first mass vaccination event has been scheduled for 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, April 17. The event will be held at the Oconee County Civic Center at 2661 Hog Mountain Road in Watkinsville. The space and configuration of the Civic Center will allow approximately 50 individuals to be vaccinated and observed at 15-minute intervals. There will be no charge for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Registration will be required for the event and will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7. To register, Oconee County residents should visit www.cityofwatkinsville.com/covidvaccine. For those wanting to register via phone, they should call 706-769-5161. This event is being co-sponsored by the Oconee County Government, Athens Masonic District 6 – Prince Hall, and the City of Watkinsville, with vaccines being provided by University Cancer and Blood Center.
