We love that so many local residents and families want to attend our parade! However, due to growing crowd sizes and updated best practices for public events, the City of Watkinsville and the Watkinsville Police Department may take additional steps to ensure the safety of our guests, including utilization of street barricades along the route. Parents and guardians, please work with us to protect your children by monitoring them closely, keeping them at the edges of the road and away from any moving vehicles or floats so we can continue to offer Georgia's best small town parade.  If you are asked to move your child back by any parade volunteer, please do so promptly.
