Mayor & City Council meeting at 7 PM
The City of Watkinsville will hold its regularly scheduled monthly Council meeting at 7 PM on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
The Mayor, City Council, Attorney, staff, those making appearances, media, and citizens (not to exceed 19 persons in total) will meet in person at City Hall (191 VFW Drive). The meeting agenda may be found here.
Due to Coronavirus, in person attendance is limited, so the city may comply with the CDC recommendation to maintain six feet of distance between persons. To comply with Governor Kemp’s Executive Order, attendees are encouraged to wear a mask to cover their nose and mouth.
Access to the simultaneous broadcast of the meeting will be available via RingCentral through an internet link or by phone which is provided below. In addition, information on how to connect is posted at City Hall and available online at www.cityofwatkinsville.com.
Please note that upon entry, all RingCentral participants will be muted and their cameras disabled. Citizens using RingCentral who wish to offer public comment will be unmuted and allowed camera access at the appropriate times as designated on the agenda.
Anyone wishing to provide public comment who is unable to attend should submit their comments to the City Clerk via email (email@example.com) or standard mail (P.O. Box 27, Watkinsville, GA 30677) by no later than 12 noon on October 21, 2020. These public comments will be read aloud during the public comment portion of the agenda and entered into the meeting minutes.
The meeting will be recorded, and the recording will be posted to the city’s website (www.cityofwatkinsville.com) after the meeting.

How to access and interface:
Browser. RingCentral Meetings Participants do not need to download the application for desktop or mobile app to join the meeting. They may simply click the meeting link and join a meeting via browser.
Desktop Computer. Follow the link above and download the application to your desktop. Participants have standard controls at the bottom menu bar of the meeting as well as the Raise Hand and Rename (Windows and Android only) features.
Mobile device. Follow the link above and download the application to your mobile device. Participants have standard controls at the bottom menu bar of the meeting as well as the Raise Hand and Rename (Windows and Android only) features.
Raise Hand: If you’d like to notify the host that you need their attention, use the Raise Hand feature. The Host will get a notification that you have raised your hand and will address you at the appropriate time. To access this feature, (from a desktop computer) click on the “Participants” icon at the bottom of the screen, then click “Raise Hand” in bottom right hand portion of participant box. From a mobile device, press the “Raise Hand” icon at the bottom of the screen.
Chat: There is a chat feature which will allow public comment to be received. This will be monitored and coordinate by staff, so the sharing of comments occurs at the appropriate times as designated on the agenda. To access this feature, (from a desktop computer) click Chat at the bottom of the screen or (from mobile device) click Participants at the bottom of the screen and select Chat. Type your message in the text box and hit Enter on your keyboard to send your message.
